Gynecomastia Surgeon in Seattle
Treating Seattle Gynecomastia Patients
Dr. David F. Pratt has been in private practice since 1995 and has extensive experience in the treatment of gynecomastia and so-called “pseudo-gynecomastia”; in fact, approximately 1/3 of his practice is dedicated to the treatment of male breast enlargement patients. Dr. Pratt sees over one hundred gynecomastia patients each year, with many of our patients travelling to Seattle from outside of the western Washington area to get Dr. Pratt’s advice regarding the treatment of a variety of gynecomastia problems.
Dr. Pratt uses a less invasive approach to treating gynecomastia than the “Peri-areolar” incision, which has been the standard approach in the treatment of gynecomastia since it was first described in 1940’s by the general surgeon Dr. Jerome P. Webster.

In order to be truly effective and achieve his aesthetic goals Dr. Pratt feels strongly that the treatment of gynecomastia needs to be ‘Stealth’ (undetectable) whenever possible. Dr. Pratt understands that the ultimate objective of most male patients is to be able to go shirtless in public without feeling abnormal and self-conscious.
Therefore, it’s Dr. Pratt’s opinion that treatment of enlarged male breasts through an incision that leaves obvious, symmetrical surgical scars around each areola largely defeats the original objective of the surgery.

Dr. Pratt does not believe in a “one operation fits all” approach to the treatment of male breast enlargement. He carefully and thoughtfully evaluates each patient individually, and comes up with a custom operative plan which is tailored to the particular needs of each patient. Dr. Pratt possesses a full armamentarium of surgical procedures that can address the wide range of problems that patients with gynecomastia may present with.
Dr. Pratt is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has been selected as one of America’s Top Physicians by the Consumers’ Research Council of America, an independent research organization that provides unbiased consumer guides for professional healthcare services throughout the United States.
Dr. Pratt has also been voted a “Top Doc” by his peers in Seattle Metropolitan Magazine, and top plastic surgeon on the Eastside of Seattle by 425 Magazine.
Dr. Pratt produces world-class gynecomastia surgical results which are a direct reflection of his artistic flair, extensive training and experience, with over 21 years in private practice. Dr. Pratt possesses the rare combination of sound clinical judgment, outstanding technical ability, and warm, compassionate bedside manner. Thus, it is not surprising that his highest priority has always been the comfort and safety of his patients.
